Who we are

In a world where everything changes fast, stopping to think has become a revolutionary act. Room must be made for doubt, critical thinking cultivated, unfamiliar relations created between fields of knowledge. Standing on the threshold does not mean standing still: it means training yourself to recognise what changes and what remains, and to navigate transitions without closing your eyes.

Here at liminalstudio we do not have the solution for you, but we can try to write it together. We work at the crossing of brand strategy, storytelling, design and culture. We design identities, narratives and instruments of meaning for organisations and territories.

Our philosophy

Now that AI is on everyone’s lips, in many pockets, but in few companies, we do not offer AI solutions: we try to ask more fertile questions. The sequence we follow, learned from transformations that failed, is: strategy → culture → creativity → technology. Start from technology and you automate the dysfunctions. Start from culture without strategic vision and you generate sterile participation.

What we are

We are not an agency. Nor are we a research centre, a consulting lab or a project office. We inhabit a threshold space. liminalstudio is a studio of transformative grammars for navigating the uncertainty of the AI era.

Why liminal?

The English word liminal comes from the Latin limen, threshold. Whoever crosses a threshold is no longer who they were, yet often does not yet know who they will be. We live in times when answers arrive before questions. Which is why we need a space, and a time, that keeps the unsaid.

A productive contradiction

We criticise the standardised approach of the consultancies, and then we describe services with names and durations. It is a contradiction we do not want to hide, because it is generative. We need recognisable language — workshop, audit, strategy — but we fill those containers with an entirely different approach.
